The menu

Here’s an explanation of each of our special Christmas menu items, including suggestions for wine pairings!

Appetizers

Maine Lobster Bisque: Made with rich, sweet lobster meat, zucchini flower, and Taleggio grilled cheese. Want to upgrade even further? Opt to have it served with fresh shaved black winter truffles.

Suggested wine pairing: Richer lobster dishes like this call for a richer wine. Bottiglia’s extensive wine menu boasts a variety of buttery Chardonnays, which make the perfect pairing, with a rich flavor that acts as a complement to the creamy soup yet has enough acidity to keep things interesting.

Wild Mushroom Ravioli: You’ve never experienced ravioli like this. These umami-rich morsels are made with truffle ricotta, parmesan, and shaved black winter truffles. It’s an appetizer you won’t want to end!

Suggested wine pairing: Here’s a good rule of thumb when choosing a wine to pair with earthy flavors: you can’t go wrong with pinot noir. Pinot noir works extremely well with the earthy mushrooms and truffles, elevating the dish to a memorable dining experience.

Entrees

Osso Bucco: What’s Osso Bucco? It’s a cold weather classic! This hearty dish is made by slow cooking a veal shank with marrow in a mixture of wine, vegetables, and seasoning. The slow cooking infuses the flavors in a way that makes the meat incredibly tender, and allows the flavors to meld in the most beautiful way.

Since this is a labor and time intensive dish to make, it’s only being offered for a short time, so enjoy it while you can! Our Osso Bucco is served with roasted butternut squash orzo, lemon parsley gremolata, and red wine au jus.

Suggested wine pairing: Many diners love the combination of the rich, tender Osso Bucco meat with a deep, heavier red like a zinfandel. However, that’s far from the only option you have for pairing! For a contrast, you might find that you enjoy the zing of a Rose or even a sparkling wine.

Ultimate Surf and Turf: It’s the holidays, so you should live it up. The Ultimate Surf and Turf offering is the way to treat yourself right this holiday season. The plate is composed of grilled filet mignon, herb stuffed lobster, charred brussels sprouts, and mascarpone polenta.

Suggested wine pairing: Since it’s the holidays, we’re going to make an executive decision and suggest multiple glasses of wine with this dish!

A rich, layered white wine like Sauvignon Blanc will be the perfect pairing for the “surf”; follow it up with a full bodied red like Cabernet Sauvignon to bring out the flavor of the “turf”. Want just one one? Choose a low tannin red wine like Pinot Noir to go with both parts of the dish.

Baked Stuffed Whole Lobster: Simple, yet exquisite. Our Baked Stuffed Whole Lobster is made with a basil ritz cracker stuffing, and served with drawn butter and fresh lemon.

Suggested wine pairing: The butter in the dish calls for a wine that has a buttery flavor. A Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay can bring out new dimensions in this classic with a twist Christmas dish.
