Food isn't just about flavor. True, that may be the last thing you expected to read on a restaurant’s blog, but hear us out. This is not to say that flavor is unimportant: after all, the delicious cuisine is the key draw to any food establishment. But an incredible setting has the power to heighten a great meal into an incredible experience.

At Bottiglia Cucina Enoteca, we are extremely aware of the importance of the setting in which food is served and how it can elevate our customers’ dining experience. In our restaurant, with the help of our frequent partner, the stellar design firm Studio Munge, we have done our very best to create an Italian getaway right in our beautiful Green Valley restaurant.

Here, we’ll explain how the Amalfi Coast has inspired our cuisine and decor, and how, along with Studio Munge, we have worked together to create a space which offers a truly inimitable dining experience which evokes the feeling of the Amalfi Coast of Italy.

What is the Amalfi Coast?

The Amalfi Coast is without a doubt one of Italy’s most memorable Mediterranean destinations. Mountains meet the sea, resulting in a sort of staggering vertical scenery featuring craggy cliffs with bright, sun-bleached homes and stunning greenery. This incredibly beautiful part of the world, resembling something like a storybook setting, has become a destination for travelers from all over the world. Towns like Positano, with its pastel-hued boutiques, homes, and bona fide beautiful people strolling around, or Sorrento, with its beautiful clifftop resorts, have become destinations for the world’s elite jet-setters.

With its piercing blue skies, dramatic landscape, and incredible culture, it’s no wonder that this has become such a world class destination. The Amalfi Coast is rustic and yet has a level of cosmopolitan sophistication that makes it a pleasurable place to enjoy world class cuisine, shopping, and culture.

The cuisine of the Amalfi Coast

While the dramatic scenery might be the initial draw to the Amalfi Coast, the cuisine is destination-worthy on its own. Rustic sophistication is the name of the game here. Many of the dishes are simple, yet far from humble. With homegrown, local, and incredibly high quality ingredients, every flavor offers an incredible and memorable taste of the Amalfi Coast.

Expect to see lots of ever-changing menus which offer the catch of the day, and which reflect the season and items which are at their peak at that time. Eating fresh and local isn’t just a trend here; it’s a way of life.

At Bottiglia, our menu takes a cue from the Amalfi Coast in more ways than one. First, we are deeply committed to using the best possible ingredients we can source. Second, we stay true to traditional Italian dishes and cooking techniques. While geographically we are quite far away from the Mediterranean, you can savor the next best thing to actually being there while savoring the items on our menu and pairing them with a beautiful Italian wine from our extensive list.

The look of the Amalfi Coast

Visually, the Amalfi Coast is absolutely stunning. The sun-kissed coast boasts a myriad of styles of architectural feats which complement one of nature’s most beautiful places.

A sensual blend of picturesque homes, old world columned temples, and world class resorts, the architectural style can’t be contained to just one style here. However, the combination of styles makes for a fascinating and beautiful patchwork of old world and new school sophistication.

At Bottiglia, our decor takes a cue from the stunning cacophony of the Amalfi Coast, with an eclectic yet sophisticated look featuring airy spaces, feminine details, and beautiful structure.

Bringing it together: The Amalfi Coast experience at Bottiglia

We’ve briefly explained the culture of the Amalfi Coast and how the food and architecture has inspired Bottiglia. Now, let’s talk about how, along with Studio Munge, this unique culture is reflected cohesively and beautifully in our Las Vegas restaurant.

As a bit of background, Studio Munge is the design powerhouse responsible for not only Bottiglia’s interior, but also the majority of the different restaurant and club venues which are part of the Clique Hospitality Group. This stellar design firm has an almost uncanny knack for capturing the sensibility and spirit of different cultures and themes in their impeccably appointed interiors.

In the case of Bottiglia, Studio Munge has created a space that truly transports you to the Amalfi Coast from the moment you walk into our restaurant until the moment you exit full and happy (and it might even extend into your daydreams in the coming days!).

As you enter the restaurant, the first words you might assign to the space are bright and light. You can take a deep exhale and relax as you step into what feels like a sun-drenched coastal resort. The details are feminine, with soft watercolor and plenty of light colored details.

An article on Thrillist cites that "walking into this Green Valley Ranch spot is like walking into a rustic Italian garden party in which Martha Stewart and Marie Antoinette have equal decorating rights".

Sitting in this beautiful space, you can for a short time believe that you’re sitting on a seaside piazza. It truly is like a little Italian escape, right in the heart of bustling Las Vegas.

Visiting the Amalfi Coast is a truly unique experience that everyone should have in their lifetime. But if it’s not geographically possible at this moment, come and get a one-two punch of culture by indulging in all that Las Vegas has to offer and enjoying a mini European getaway for a few hours by joining us at our Green Valley Restaurant where we bring the Italian coast to you.
